The Student Council at Gordon Creek worked hard again this year to honor all those who sacrificed their life for us. To start the program, Kennedy Gardner, Avery O’Brien, Brynleigh Broers, Nina Swank, and Kearsten Stevenson sang the National Anthem. The Student Council read a short book called Memorial Day by Robin Nelson. Nina Swank read the poem "For Our Heroes" by Anonymous. Each grade level sang a different patriotic song and the boy scouts and girls scouts were honored for their leadership and service. Jack Westbrook ended the program with the playing of TAPS. The classes proceeded from the gym in silence and each student laid a poppy by the American Flag to commemorate those who served. Memorial Day 2025
